Get a Primer on the History of TERA's Road to Consoles with Latest Developer Diary VideoPublisher En Masse Entertainment Confirms North America and European Console Release in First Half of 2018

En Masse Entertainment, a player-driven publisher focused on delivering great games and great service, today announced that, following the success of recent technical testing on consoles, their flagship MMORPG TERA will be making its long-anticipated debut in the “first half of 2018” on the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system and Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft. The long-standing world of TERA has hosted over 25 million players worldwide, and is embarking on its path to console this year. To mark this milestone, the team released a development diary taking players on a brief trip through the history of their efforts to bring TERA from players PCs to their home consoles.

Today’s developer diary takes a brief look back at the publisher’s path to bringing their “True Action Combat” MMORPG to consoles. The team’s desire to bring TERA to consoles early on was stymied by hardware limitations, so while the previous generation of consoles continued, they focused their efforts on strongly supporting the title on PC. However, with the onset of the current generation of consoles and rising desire from fans to play the game from their living rooms as well as PCs, En Masse’s efforts were revived and work began anew to bring their award-winning MMORPG to an all new audience. Check out the video for more on how the TERA console project took form over the years from Senior Product Manager Matt Denomme and Senior Project Manager Daehyun Shim.

ARMOR GAMES STUDIOS RELEASES ATMOS GAMES’ SURREAL ACTION-ADVENTURE GAME PINSTRIPE ON PLAYSTATION 4 AND XBOX ONEExperience a father’s desperate descent into Hell in this haunting journey from the mind of Thomas Brush

Armor Games Studios has announced they will release the surreal action-adventure game Pinstripe on February 13th for PlayStation 4, and February 7th for Xbox One, both for a retail price of $14.99. It is playable in seven different languages; English, French, Spanish, German, Portuguese-Brazil, Russian, and Simplified Chinese.

Created by Atmos Games, the label of independent developer Thomas Brush, best-known for cult hits like Coma and Skinny, Pinstripe follows an ex-minister’s emotional journey through Hell in search of his kidnapped daughter. As players descend further into the chilling reaches of the underworld alongside their trusty canine companion, they’ll encounter strange creatures, thoughtful puzzles, and the mysterious Mr. Pinstripe, a shadowy nemesis who may hold the secrets of the past.

Inspired by classics like The Nightmare Before Christmas, Coraline and Alice in Wonderland, Pinstripe’s bold artwork strikes a tone between darkly somber and eerily comical, with colorful designs that bring Hell’s otherworldly environments and inhabitants to life, and an evocative orchestral score, composed by Brush. The game originally released for PC, Mac, and Linux in 2017, with positive reviews from critics at Time, Waypoint, the Washington Post, EGMnow, and others.
