Embrace witchcraft or trust science in French visual novel Along the Edge

Embrace witchcraft or trust science in French visual novel Along the EdgeAlong the Edge is available since October 12th on iPad and Steam. The game gathers very good users review on Steam: 95 % of the 46 reviews are positive.

Along The Edge is a visual novel different from the classic Japanese one. The player has to guide Daphné through her sentimental and moral choices. These choices will heavily impact her appearance. Every background in the game has been hand-made and looks like a painting.

At the start of the story, Daphné is in a deep identity crisis. She is grieving the death of her first child. She's unsatisfied in several aspects of her life, both professional and personal. When she inherits an old family house in a remote part of the country, Daphné jumps at the opportunity to start anew.

The story takes place in the countryside of France. The player will discover great landscapes and architecture inspired by the French culture.

In some aspects, Along the Edge is quite like a personality test. As you pick between different dialog lines, the system updates the personality map of Daphné. When the story comes to an end, she will be a different person from one play-through to another.

The developer built an online personality test to show a little glimpse of the game’s mood:
