'Auto-Staccato' Announcement Trailer

PC GamesIt isn't often that the world is introduced to a whole new genre of game, but combining music and games to create the 'rhythm' genre makes today incredibly historic. Developer Birch Log is please to introduce Auto-Staccato, coming this Fall to PC, Mac and Linux on Steam.

Auto-Staccato is being introduced with an incredible, unbelievable announcement trailer that outlines the confidence that Birch Log and publisher STEAKSTEAK have in this bold claim of originality and creation of the rhythm genre. Early viewers have responded with strong language, such as "I'm fairly certain this isn't the first ever rhytm [sic] game." - responses at the trailer are available here:

The in-game footage was captured using the same heart-pounding and dramatic theme song that sets the tone for the trailer. Awed and confused viewers everywhere are struggling to make sense of the implications of this new genre, and Birch Log assures players they will be able to get their hands on Auto-Staccato in just a few months.

"We think players will be blown away by the chance to control combat characters set to music - which is totally a new thing and has never been done before," says STEAKSTEAK publisher Justin Whirledge. "When Birch Log developer Greg Seguru brought Auto-Staccato to us, we were excited to introduce the world to a new way to experience music!"

Auto-Staccato is a ‘rhythm game’ by Birch Log taking place in a variety of fantasy settings. You must use your weapon or magic glowing hands to “Fight Your Music” by hitting enemies in time to the beat. Featuring a campaign mode with a mix of worlds and arenas and included music, players can also battle against their own music.
