OBEY: A Groundbreaking New Genre Coming to Steam Early Access Friday, May 22!

PC GamesWe’ve all played games where you command AI units, or team mates. OBEY puts you in the position to command your opponents (human players), and to be commanded by them. Players are always free to OBEY or disOBEY. It is up to them to deal with the consequences of their actions in the game.

Created by a single developer, Dan Dez describes OBEY loosely as “Counter Strike Jailbreak Mod meets Spy Party.” OBEY’s social aspects have been compared to Trouble in Terrorist Town and Town of Salem.

OBEY presents a unique asymmetrical challenge: Can you, as one bunny operating a giant robotic death turret, coerce, bribe, or trick the other bunnies (players) into helping you? Keep them in line and they'll help you consolidate power. Fail, and you’ll find yourself serving the next overlord.

Bunnies discontent with your rule have a variety of options available, from throwing off their tracking collars and running wild to civil disobedience to sabotage. Your rule can also be ended at any time if another bunny infiltrates your robotic throne room, becoming the new bunny overlord.

In this dynamic environment, relationships with the other players are fluid and undefined: bunnies can make or break alliances within minutes, team up to overthrow tyrants, snitch on fellow bunnies, and much, much more.
